This week we learnt a new dance ‘Feel the Way I Do’ and recapped some of our other routines. Here is a list of the dances that we have learnt to date:

The class will be closed on Tuesday 16th and Tuesday 23rd April due to Easter holidays. Please feel free to come along to our Warlingham class – 1-2pm Tuesdays at Warlingham Church Hall as an alternative.

Here’s a video of one of our line dance weekend breaks – the theme was ‘red’ because it was near to Valentine’s day (hence the red lighting!) – we were dancing Maverick Shuffle to ‘Hot Stuff’
Beginners Line Dance Class – Oxted – Tue 15th January 2019
Good to welcome more new beginners this week. We recapped last weeks line dance routines and added a new dance -‘Cowboy Charleston’. You all did really well. As each week passes, you will find the routines easier to remember and as your confidence grows you can start to add your own personal styling to dances. Don’t forget to smile when you’re dancing 🙂

Beginners Line Dance Class – Tuesday 8th January 2019
A huge welcome to our new beginners! Over the coming weeks we will be introducing new steps and new terminology. This week, you learnt ‘grapevines’ and a ‘V-step’ as well as ‘side shuffles’ and more. You will be learning to execute weight-bearing and non-weight bearing steps (e.g.touch, kick, flick). This week, you learnt the following routines:

Each week we will practice the routines until you are able to dance the routine without a reminder. We will gradually add new routines too.
